As a horticulture major, I am learning how to establish, propagate, harvest, and manage fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants. I am also learning the principles of landscape design to create and manage aesthetically pleasing environments.

This course surveyed the science of hydroponic plant production and focused on commercial/home vegetable crop production.

This course covered the growth and development of plants with the concepts applied to the practice of Horticultural Science.

Woody Identification II

This course introduced me to the language of botany and the Southeastern palata of landscape plants with distinguished spring characteristics. Topics discussed included taxonomy, morphology, plants with global popularity, cultivation practices, structural plantings, and the use of said plants within the landscape.

This course covered the identification, culture, and use of ornamental trees in landscape planting.

This course covered the identification, culture, and use of herbaceous annuals and perennials, bulbs, herbs, and ornamental grasses.

This course observed plant diseases common in Alabama, including symptom recognition, pathogen biology, and management of plant diseases.
